Fruit Bread pudding Recipe from Wild Hen Farm

Wild Hen Farm Fruit Bread & Butter Pudding

This recipe was invented to use up some stale hot cross buns.  It’s been adapted from an Easter Pudding recipe so you can enjoy it all year round.

 

 

Ingredients

6 Wild Hen Farm eggs
3 cups milk
3 tablespoons sugar
slices of fruit bread to cover bottom of baking dish
50g melted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp nutmeg

Method

Method for making Wild Hen Farm bread and butter pudding

 

Cover bottom of a flat baking dish with slices of fruit bread
Melt butter and pour over the top

 

 

Pudding ready for the oven

 

In a separate bowl, whisk eggs then whisk in milk, vanilla, sugar and nutmeg.
Pour this mixture into dish and bake at 170 degrees C for 25 min

 

How Delicious!

You can serve it just as it is but who could resist a little ice-cream or cream?
